Reaching Out the World!
NGC offers all the schools an opportunity to reach out the entire world at the click of the mouse! The school management or Green Teachers can now directly upload the NGC Monthly Activity Reports along with digital copies of the photographs, newspaper clippings to the NGC website. The information related to environmental activities taken up by the schools will be published on the net and also in the e-magazine which will be circulated free of cost to all the stakeholders. Thus the schools, teachers and students can have a webpage of their own and can share the activities taken up by them, success stories and literary works related to environmental issues to the entire world.
User ID and Password
All participating schools need to register by providing the basic information. i.e., Name of the school, Names of Head Master and Green teachers, their contact details etc. They also have to choose the user ID and password that they want to use for logging in. Immediately after registration, schools will get confirmation of their unique user ID and password to login into the website.
To register online, connect to the internet and open Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox or any other browser and type www.ngc.ap.gov.in in the address bar. Once the Home page opens, look for ‘School Reports’ on the top bar and click on that. You will be redirected to User Registration Form. Fill up the New User Registration Form and follow the online instructions. After registering as a member, one can directly login using the user ID and password.
11 Digit Bank Account
While registering, you need to provide 11 digit bank account number in the form. All the payments from NGC will be processed through Electronic clearance. Remember, without this number we cannot process your payments.
Uploading Reports
After logging into the website, teachers can upload the activity reports, photographs, newspaper clippings, literary works etc. The reports can be in MS Word, PDF formats or in scanned image formats. They also have to share the activities done by five school level natural resource management NGC teams, observation of environmental days, visible environmental impacts at school, community campaigns, field activities outside school premises, overall organization of eco-Clubs, etc. This information gets published in the website after the moderators’ approval.
An orientation cum training programme on using ICTs will be organized by NGC for deserving teachers.
Online Monitoring and Evaluation
Once in a month the green teacher has to upload the monthly activity reports to the NGC website. After scrutiny of the reports, the Directorate of NGC issues orders online to the concerned authority to release the payment/ honorarium to the teachers. Concerned teachers will also get a copy of the order in their inbox. Only the teachers submitting their reports online will be considered for receiving honorarium.
As this process is managed online, the administrative delays will be minimized. All this data (the teacher reports, payments etc) will be in public domain and can be seen by any body. This in turn increases the transparency and accountability in day to day affairs.
